Whilst an international student studying in the UK ten years ago, I loved this tea but I have not bought it since. Doing this review was a wonderful opportunity to rediscover this tea. From the second I opened the bag, the aroma of the tea leaves overtook me. This has got to be one of the most aromatic black teas that I know before it is brewed.
The tea leaves are moderately broken, which give it good colour and strength when steeped. I really taste the maltiness of the Assam, but the Ceylon gives it an incredibly satisfying lift. This tea is not the type of tea that a spoon will stand up in, but it is hearty enough to accompany a big weekend breakfast. This tea makes me extremely happy, and I would recommend it to anyone.
